The coins are dedicated to the 85th birth anniversary of Dmytro Lutsenko (1921 – 1989), who was born in the village of Beresova Rudka of Poltava region. Dmytro Lutsenko is the song writer of many famous songs: `My Kyiv`, Great age, Front-line soldiers, Mother`s cherry- tree, Autumn gold, etc.

On the coin obverse there is depicted a chestnut inflorescence against the background of the Kyiv panorama (on the right). Above there is the small National Emblem of Ukraine, under which there is the inscription: УКРАЇНА (Ukraine), on the left against the smooth background: НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК (National Bank), the coin issue year – 2006; on the German silver coin: ДВІ ГРИВНІ (2 Hryvnias). On the coin there is also the logotype of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine.

On the coin reverse there is depicted a portrait of Dmytro Lutsenko, on the right from which there are two chestnut inflorescences and conventionalized inscriptions: Березова/ Рудка 1921/ Київ 1989 (Beresova/ Rudka/ 1921/ Kyiv/ 1989); around the coin circumference it is inscribed: ЯК ТЕБЕ НЕ ЛЮБИТИ, КИЄВЕ МІЙ! (One can not but love you, my Kyiv !) (above), ДМИТРО ЛУЦЕНКО (Dmytro Lutsenko) (below)
