OLESHKY SANDS
The commemorative coin is dedicated to the Oleshky sands, a unique natural object and one of the largest expanses of sand in Europe of at least 150 km in length and 30 km in width (Kherson oblast).
Obverse: against the matte background of a desert landscape with person`s footsteps (to the left) there is the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine (above) under which there is the legend: УКРАЇНА (UKRAINE); to the right, there is the year of issue – 2015; below, there is the face value – 2/ГРИВНІ (2/hryvnias) and the mark of the National Bank of Ukraine Mint.
Reverse: against the matte background of a desert landscape there is depicted a lizard; above, there is the semicircular legend: ОЛЕШКІВСЬКІ ПІСКИ (OLESHKY SANDS).
