Ukrainian Rescue Workers

This coin celebrates the heroic profession of rescue worker – one of the most dangerous and difficult professions that protects the population and the territory of a state from natural and man-made disasters. Rescue workers – who are brave, courageous and prepared to sacrifice their own lives in order to save the lives of others – work on land and underground, on the water and underwater, in any season, at any time, and in all sorts of weather. With a view to drawing the attention of the general public to civil protection issues, Ukraine’s State Emergency Service constantly improves itself, organizes training sessions for people on the basics of emergency preparedness, and conducts campaigns under the slogan of “PREVENT. SAVE. HELP.”.

Reverse: against a matt background is an image of a rescue worker holding a child in their arms; above is a smooth outline of a rescue helicopter; to the left are the legends ЗАПОБІГТИ!/ВРЯТУВАТИ!/ДОПОМОГТИ! (PREVENT! SAVE! HELP!).
