The Antonov Bridge

This roll celebrates the Antonov Bridge, the most notable bridge in Ukraine during the war, which is one of the three key crossings of the Dnipro River in Kherson oblast, and is a strategically important object for the region and the country as a whole. The rolls’ souvenir packaging bears the following legend: БАНКНОТНО-МОНЕТНИЙ ДВІР НБУ (the NBU’s Banknote Printing and Minting Works), the mint mark of the NBU’s Banknote Printing and Minting Works, the legend /ОБІГОВА ПАМ’ЯТНА МОНЕТА, 2 АНТОНІВСЬКИЙ МІСТ / 40 ШТУК (circulation commemorative coin, 2 the Antonov Bridge/ 40 units); it also features the rolls’ face value – 250, graphic symbol of the hryvnia, and an image of the Antonov Bridge above the waves of the Dnipro River and a stylized image of military equipment.

Obverse: above is Ukraine’s small coat of arms; in the center, surrounded by an old Rus ornament is the following semicircular legend: УКРАЇНА/10/ ГРИВЕНЬ (Ukraine/10/hryvnias); against the backdrop of the ornament are the coins’ issue year – 2023 (beneath) and the mint mark of the NBU’s Banknote Printing and Minting Works (to the right).

Reverse: there is a stylized image of the Antonov Bridge and the Dnipro River from a bird’s eye view, and traffic interchanges at both ends of the bridge, which make the bridge interesting and original; above is the legend АНТОНІВСЬКИЙ МІСТ (the Antonov Bridge).
